If purchased from Apple, or covered under AppleCare, then get this serviced by Apple. But, see if you can recover all of that information. Looking at your screenshot, the data cannot be recovered (due to ownership. " external hard drive not booting: I have tried to view my files through them and they showed me files that where not even mine fake pictures and weird videos and nothing belonging to me as if they were trying to con me for a non guaranteed purchase by showing me i can recover thousands of files but non belonged to me" i have tried to revert this back to its native type but no success! im not to educated on the proper commands to revert it properly without possibly deleting the data but the basic commands i have tried before even if there was a way to just cpy out my data into another drive would be sufficient but i cant even access the data on there at all i believe the problem rebooting it is because when i encrypted it, it partitioned part of the drive into a virtual partition and into a corestorage logical volume. Hi thanks for the info but i have actually already done this before and it does not work unfortunately, the disk that is dulled out is my internal which works fine, but when i do the process you suggested it will not run first aid as the terminal command i have ran is pretty similar i believe it returns the same error message of the invalid b tree nodes and could not repair file system (first aid failed) when i get the external drive to mount enough to show up in the target disk mode it does look dulled out as well and it will then disappear as it unmounts itself. i will post some of the latest basic stuff ive ran on terminal as a reference i have ran quite a few commands prior to these allowing me to "succesfully'' mount the drive but not access my information i need my projects ive been trying on and off for over a year to unlock this thing, any help ?

#EXTERNAL HARD DRIVE NOT MOUNTING MAC TERMINAL MAC OS#
So i had my mac os software running out of my external hard drive everything was great for the time but the problem pretty much started when i did a full encryption on my external hard drive and it was a nightmare, it took a long time like close to a month to encrypt! after i looked through online forums and was able to revert the encryption process which took like a week or so ,so far everything seemed alright but by this time i needed my computer so i had reinstalled mac os on my INTERNAL hard drive to use it which was not in use finally after the reverting got done i went to reboot from my external and i accidentally pressed restore and it started erasing my hard drive not booting it so i panicked and disconnected my hard drive it was literally a couple seconds NOW the hard drive will sometimes connect but its saying non mountable ive checked through terminal and it says invalid b tree node ive tried commands to check the hard drive and force mount and when i get it mounted i cant access none of my files when disk util info shows all my data is still on there and deleting the drive is definitely not an option. I cant seem to get my hard drive to open anymore!
